DirectX:

Most games nowadays need Microsofts DirectX. The games are built to run on directx, so without DirectX you probably won't be able to play the game (in a normal way).

Most Windows XP computers (which is 90% of the whole individual-market), come with DirectX 8.0, or even version 9.0C (which is the latest version).

Even if you have already installed an earlier version of DirectX, we advise you to install the latest version, not only for the sake of HeroesLand, but also for your own sake. Other (newer) games will run more smoothly, and your computer hardware will be used to the fullest, and thus your overall performance will go up with at least 15%. The best of all? It's 100% free!
